Bodypainting

Scarlett primarily works with Louise Lear-Jones, and many of the photographs on this page show her designs. Their working relationship began in 2008, when Louise invited her to model and perform at the World Bodypainting Championships.  Scarlett has now proudly worn the entry for the Scottish team twice, as well as modelling in the World Face Award for another artist.

As a performance artiste Scarlett has developed a unique blend of burlesque and bodypainting – using burlesque to display artwork and using painted costume to enhance unusual and interesting routines. As the artwork is temporary, it can be totally customised to fit any theme, and every piece is unique with photographic images all that remain after the show. Examples of this kind of performance can be seen in the Coco De Mer and Atomic posts on the previous page.

Bodypainting has taken Scarlett to some fabulous places, including competitions, public events, and private shoots. She loves to find new ways to model painted pieces, aiming for the surroundings to compliment the artwork, most recently this will include a world-wide competition painted in Wales and judged online.
